About the Corum Admiral's Cup:
Founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1955, Corum developed a reputation for unconventional watch designs, including its famous Coin Watch and the maritime-inspired Admiral's Cup collection.
Introduced in 1960, the Admiral's Cup became closely associated with competitive sailing and nautical design. Its most recognizable features include a distinctive twelve-sided case and a dial displaying colorful maritime signal flags in place of conventional hour numerals. The flags reference the International Code of Signals, used by vessels to communicate at sea.
During the 1980s and 1990s, Corum produced the Admiral's Cup in a variety of sizes and precious-metal configurations, combining its distinctive nautical aesthetic with increasingly jewelry-oriented designs.
